2026 FLOOD ADAPTATION WORKSHOP

The New Mexico Historic Preservation Division, in coordination with the National Park Service and FEMA, is sponsoring an in-person workshop for flood adaptation for buildings.
The authors of the Guidelines on Flood Adaptation for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings will lead the workshop.
Increased flood impacts are unfortunately becoming a permanent reality for those of us working with historic buildings in New Mexico and this is a great opportunity to learn from subject experts.
THE WORKSHOP WILL BE HELD JULY 16, 2026
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
ELEVATE HOTEL, 25980 US-70, RUIDOSO, NEW MEXICO
This workshop is offered free of charge and participants will receive a copy of the Guidelines.
Please arrive for check-in at 8:00 a.m., as the workshop will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
This will be a full day workshop of in-person presentations with snacks and lunch provided.
The workshop is limited to 50-60 people so please register as soon as possible.
